I left for Egypt at the end of January 2020, as the world was starting to realize the potential impact of COVID-19. It is now June, and the idea of traveling internationally is nothing but remote; so I frequently find myself going back to my memories of Egypt, as they serve as a reminder of human resilience, of our ability to overcome challenges and persevere, despite having the certainty that everything will eventually end.
The tombs in the Valley of the Kings are a great example, hundreds of years of history were contained in these tombs. Their design kicked-off within the first year of the pharaoh's reign and the construction could last up to 10 years, depending on how long theyβd live. Pharaohs prepared thoroughly to transition to the next world.
Considering we know the certainty of an end, what can you do today to prepare for it? What are you doing to prepare to transition from one role to the next? From one company to the next?
